photographer sued for refusing to photograph gay wedding

If a photographer is very religious, and has his own personal convictions and beliefs regarding homosexuality, then are we going to punish him for refusing to photograph a wedding of a gay couple  (http://www.scottfillmer.com/2008/07/06/christian-photographer-refused-gay-wedding/). A person may act in a way we disagree with, if that happens, it is the role of the community, for activists, for the people to protest it, they can boycott, they can pass out flyers, they can blog it. It is not the role of government. see post below for similar subject.
