ChickenHawk

Chickenhawk:

Urban Dictionary:

  1. Man who chases younger women
  2. Person who is proponent of war yet has not served

Ron Paul on Gingrich being a Chickenhawk:

Gingrich got a deferment, although he was exempt from being conscripted to serve. In a 1985 interview with The Wall Street Journal, Gingrich stated "Given everything I believe in, a large part of me thinks I should have gone over... Part of the question I had to ask myself is what difference I would have made."

If you are going to declare preemptive wars, if you are going to demand the United States police the world and build countries, if you want to send our troops overseas to fight in unconstitutional undeclared wars, then serve in the military to show you are willing personally to make the sacrifices required that you would place on the service members you would send abroad.

At every Republican debate, every single one of the candidates (exception: Paul) puffs out their chest further and yells about how they would be a larger warmonger, a contest of their manliness. A fight over who would be the first to invade a new country, a fight over how willing they are to promise our troops withdrawal overseas.

Rick Perry in video below argues to send troops back into Iraq! Right after we took them out at Iraqi request

Mitt Romney supports the NDAA, he supports the State's right to indefinitely detain United States citizens without filing a charge against them. He is also opposed to trimming the defense budget, he is an imperialist neoconservative.

John Huntsman stating he cannot live in a world with a nuclear Iran; aka, he would invade Iran

Gingrich wants to overthrow Iranian government, to overthrow it through clendestine operations and embargoes. This was done before to Mossadegh, Iran's democratically elected President, the CIA overthrew him in Operation Ajax (read about it), then there was blowback and they overthreww our appointed dictator and that is why we have the government we do today in Iran.

Santorum on war on Islam and criticizing following rules of engagement.

And there you have it folks, in a field of warmongering chickenhawks (disclaimer: Perry served), Paul stands alone.

Lets defend our nation from attack, let's not go out of our way to police the world and nation-build. If this country is threatened, we will better be able to defend ourselves with a mobile navy and a strong American centered defense, not by being spread out throughout the world fighting multiple wars.
